We were beyond thrilled with our decision to have Gary and his second shooter (Phil) capture our wedding and reception. Gary is extremely talented, and he also helped us to relax and just be ourselves throughout our entire wedding day. When we look back at our photos, we see beautiful and authentic smiles and poses. We had a rainy wedding day and Gary was a huge help in navigating the weather and adapting our original plan to still get all the shots we wanted to get. We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful our pictures turned out! There are so many great ones we can't even begin to pick our favorites. Our ceremony was in the Basilica on Notre Dame's campus which tends to look very metallic and shiny in many pictures, so I was a little worried how ours would look. "We were incredibly fortunate to navigate our wedding day with Gary as our photographer. Our wedding was untraditional in a few ways: we had a 9 a.m. ceremony at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame, a brunch reception immediately afterwards, and had to catch a plane out of South Bend at 3 p.m. Gary accommodated our unconventional schedule, arriving at the Basilica at 8:30 a.m. and wrapping up around 2 pm. Neither of us particularly enjoys being photographed, but we absolutely love the photos that Gary took. Gary was with us from the getting ready pictures to the failed flower toss. When Gary first entered my parent’s house a dance party was happening, and he was able to jump right in to capture the getting ready memories. We chose Gary Riggs to photograph my daughter’s wedding on the recommendation of a mutual friend. It was an excellent choice. He first got to know Annie and Matt at their “Save the Date” photo shoot. Gary went above and beyond in finding a World War II vintage plane for these aerospace kids – they were in heaven! But beyond that it gave Gary a chance to know them and understand their humor and their style. When the wedding day rolled around everything was so comfortable and fun. Gary was our wedding photographer on July 23, 2016. Prior to the wedding, Gary made it a point to meet with us to discuss what moments we wanted captured throughout our day and was sure to make them all happen. In all honesty, we could not have asked for a better photographer. I remember sitting down with Gary when we were first looking into wedding photographers. We had seen some of his beautiful nature pictures and were very interested in using him for our wedding. We asked him how many weddings he had done at that time and he said he could count on two hands the number of weddings he had photographed. That did not deter us, thankfully! We ultimately went with Gary as our wedding photographer, even though we had an out of town wedding, because all of his pictures are so detailed and stunning, and his prices are very reasonable. For us, there are a few obvious reasons why Gary stands out as one of the better wedding photographers. It was important to us to make sure we captured all of the sentimental moments throughout our big day – Gary not only did that, but he also captured pictures of literally everyone that helped us celebrate our wedding day! Weddings are often the most important day of your life, we wanted someone who could really capture the day perfectly and Gary did a wonderful job of bringing our wedding day to life through pictures. We met with several photographers, but what stood out about Gary was his great, fun attitude and his willingness to listen and work with us to get exactly the pictures we wanted on our special day. This was exemplified during the engagement shoot and the wedding day, Gary would always ask us what we wanted and make sure that he captured exactly the pictures that we had in mind.
